Team

USCV staff:

Admin: M

Admin M considers herself an all-around performer on a journey— still exploring, still discovering, still learning more about herself and her faith. To date, Mars has delved into writing poetry, scripts, fiction, and lyrics. In performance, she has done a variety of stage acting, dance for musical theatre, burlesque-musicals, performance art, and spoken word poetry. Since falling head over heels for EXO a few years ago, her love for all 12 boys has fueled the vast majority of her artistic endeavours— her ultimate biases are 도경수 (with his offensively squishy/manly dynamic and chocolate-smooth voice), and 吴亦凡 (a.k.a. “Potato,” her little fatty).

Besides EXO, she considers herself a Mamamoo enthusiast and is also an admin for MAMAMOO Canada. Current passions other than USCV include a music duo, a poetry series, and a fiction series – she is also filming her solo directorial debut for her church’s BC region INCinema production team this April through May, 2016.

Since 2009, she has been working for a charitable non-profit organization/production company that provides accessible pre-professional performance arts training for at-risk youth – her jobs within this job include but are not limited to: Assistant Director, Choreographer, Documentary Production Manager, Workshop Tour Coordinator, Interning Artistic Producer.

In what little free time she has you will usually find her overeating with Admin L.

Admin: L

One of Admin L’s favourite past times include learning new skills. Although not always successful, this habit of hers has introduced her to several areas of nerd-dom including the arts, math, and languages. USCV is one of her biggest attempts at handling all those things.

Lou is currently studying business, hoping to obtain the necessary know-how to open her own multi-disciplinary arts company, with branches in North America and Asia. In her spare time, she cries over Chen’s eyebrows, stares in awe over Minseok’s mere existence, re-creates Park Chanyeol’s Instagram posts, becomes a pile of trash for Luhan, and attempts to steal Mars’ potato love.

Mod (& GA): S

Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project (Film Crew, Fundraising, Outreach), PEARLS (Graphic Design, Host)

Moderator & Graphic Artist Sandra is thrilled to be working along with USCV; she finds that it’s a lot of work but rewarding all at the same time. Sandra is currently an art student in university with an aspiration to be an illustrator. She is also a part-time fan artist under the alias chrome_ranger. The EXO member that dragged her to the depth of EXO hell is Kyungsoo. (Kyungsoo is the natural cause and results of Sandra combusting into flames.) With EXO’LuXion in Vancouver having happened February 12th, 2016, Sandra can cross that off her bucket list.

Mod: A

Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project (Research, Fundraising, Outreach)

Moderator Alexandra loves languages and learning about different cultures, so you can always find her studying something new. She is a university student studying neuroscience, so most of the time she is busy flipping through textbooks. In her spare time, she volunteers at a children’s hospice and teaches chemistry, biology, and physics to elementary and high school kids at the university. Alexandra is happy to be working with the great people at USCV.

Lay was her first ever bias, and then her heart couldn’t help but share the love with Tao (with his adorable giggles) and Chen. She supports all the boys and was very excited to learn that Vancouver was stop on their tour.

Mod: T

Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project (Post production, Outreach), Xiu’s Maple Syrup, Your Song, Sweet Dream

Moderator Tiffany is a college student who likes many things from anime to comics and kpop. She’s mostly SM biased but EXO is the main group she follows. Her bias is our guardian leader Suho!

GD: S

“GD-S” ~ Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project, Xiu’s Maple Syrup, Your Song, Sweet Dream

Graphic Designer Sara is a 21 year old university student studying design and creative writing. She has been a fan of EXO since debut. When she heard that they were coming to Vancouver, she wanted to help give back! Her bias is Kris Wu and she supports all of the boys equally.

GD: Nat

Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project, Xiu’s Maple Syrup, Your Song

Graphic Designer Natacha (or “Nat”) is a post secondary student who fell into the black hole that is K-Pop many years ago. She mostly follow SM artists – she adores every member of EXO but Chanyeol’s smile has blinded her into seeing no one else but him… and maybe a little bit of Oh Sehun (and Do Kyungsoo).

HT (KOR): A

Past USCV projects: SFY Media Project (Translation, Outreach), Xiu’s Maple Syrup (Outreach)

Head Translator Alex was born and raised in Edmonton, Canada. She is Filipino-Canadian, and currently studying East Asian Studies with a specialization in Korean. Alex has been into K-POP and Korean culture since 2006 and has visited Korea twice since then. She also loves reading, making Youtube covers, and she is heavily involved with mental health awareness advocacy on her University campus.

Alex had the chance to see the Wolf Inkigayo comeback stage live in 2013, where she instantly fell in love with Kai – before she know anything about him, even his name. Kim Jongin has changed Alex’s life completely and has brought nothing but happiness, strength, and fantastic people (like the USCV team) into her life. If you watched Kai and Baekhyun on After School Club, you might remember her expressing EXO-L’s heart by singing Promise! She claims it was the best moment of her entire life. Alex is so excited for EXO to have come to Canada (she was ready to do everything and everything to make their time here wonderful, with great success)!

Crystal was originally born in Vancouver, Canada. She then began her studies of piano and attended school in Hong Kong until the age of 5. After she returned to Canada, she had continued her interest in music. She is currently a first year Business student at SFU and has three years of working experience as an administrative assistant.

Other than studying and working, Crystal was also a project staff leader in translation for USCV for the SFY Media Project. Crystal loves to meet new people and she is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

USCV team members:

(Brackets denote role in the SFY Media Project and/or current role)

Alice is an English major who spends too much time on Kim Minseok and not enough time on her readings. (Graphics)

Ning, originally from China, is teaching herself Korean and now can speak a bit of it! Right now, she is attending Simon Fraser University. She likes every EXO member but her biases are Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun. (Translator)

Helen is currently a university student who likes watching films, and swimming. Her ultimate bias is Sehun! (Translator)

Julie is currently a high school student, and she loves listening to music and doodling in her journal. Her biases are Chanyeol and Baekhyun. (Fundraising, Outreach)

Lael is a college student that is going into Linguistics so she is studying Korean. She has a hard time finding a bias in any band so she will often spam about a different member daily. (Transcription, Outreach)

Joey says: “Annyeong”! Currently a part-time student and also working part time, she is also studying Korean and has a dream of someday living on Jeju Island. Her biases are Suho, Chen, and Xiumin. (Outreach, Translation)
